Required Skills
- Experience providing customer service technical troubleshooting and problem resolution (1 Year)
- Experience working in a role that demonstrates customer service skills with clients, either in person or call Centre: Answer phone calls, responding to email enquiries, provide applicants and the public with the appropriate documents and refer callers to the appropriate areas, and forward email packages (2 Years)
Preferred Skills
- Experience proofing and formatting word documents in a work setting (1 Year)
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics or similar supply chain software (1 Year)

Reporting to the Team Lead Customer Service, this position has a primary responsibility to deliver front line customer service interacting with clients over the phone, in person or by email for them to gain access to the laws, legislative materials or official materials that they require. This position provides customer service to Printer clients by assisting them with researching and locating appropriate information. The Customer Service Representative is responsible to perform sales transactions in person or by phone, email and mail. As clients order legislative materials, this position also assists with the printing of legislative materials in a just in time fashion, as over 70% of the laws are sold primarily as print on demand items. In addition, this role provides cover-off and assistance to the Shipping and Inventory Coordinator, when required.
Job Duties
- Primary contact for telephone and walk-in clients that request legislation, government publications or official government materials produced by the client
- Provides assistance to clients using the client website - which may include guidance on how to locate information or help them through the ordering process on the website for legislation or official materials
- Assist clients with inquiries regarding their KP Source Professional subscription or accessing on-line legislative collections
- Assists customers by researching and locating information that client provides, including requests for historical or point-in-time legislation
- Researches and makes appropriate referrals regarding government publications and services not available through client
- Prepare invoices for official materials distributed by client; prints legislative network items as requested by customers (print on demand legislative items)
- Ensures all processed transactions meet strict PCI standards and balances daily transactions (internet and credit card authorizations) and monies collected on transactions
- Ensures legislative amendments are distributed with all legislation when required for in person sales or when providing backup to the Shipping and Inventory Coordinator
- Assist with the collection of past due invoices
- Record tracking in Excel
- Answer phone calls and emails
- Create documents as required
- Assist with the digitization of historical documents as required
- Organize events, and book rooms as required
- Copy, scan, file and perform records management of physical and digital documents
- Proofing and formatting word documents as required
- Provide backup coverage to Shipping & Inventory Coordinator
- Pick, pack and ship legislation and official materials, ensuring that all legislative amendments are distributed with applicable products and ensuring high-security and serialized items are distributed and tracked within the requirements of established policy and service level agreements
- Research and or coordinate with multiple shipping vendors to secure most efficient and cost effective delivery service to clients
- Ensures there is sufficient stock in the storefront to meet customer's demands
- Assists with other shipping and inventory control functions as directed by Team Lead or Manager
- Assists with other administration functions as directed by branch leadership team
