HR Business Partner – Work Relations and Strategic Projects

We are currently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner for a one-year mandate, combining advisory support to managers and their teams with active involvement in impactful HR projects.

This position requires strong expertise in labor relations, excellent analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.

You’ll work on complex HR cases, support managers in development, and contribute to the evolution of structuring HR approaches across the organization, following a major shift to a new operational model. Each Talent Partner on the team supports both show and corporate clients—you’ll need to be comfortable at all levels!

Role Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to support managers and teams directly within a newly implemented organizational model, with a strong focus on labor relations, while also contributing to the design and rollout of HR development projects.

The ideal candidate has solid experience in handling complex situations, strong political acumen, and proven ability to balance hands-on advising with the rollout of structuring solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Client Support (approx. 50%)

Act as an advisor to managers on day-to-day HR matters, including labor relations, performance, workplace climate, engagement, and policy governance.

Provide strong support in the development of team structures, labor cost planning, and compensation strategies.

Lead or participate in internal investigations and workplace climate assessments as needed.

Support change management and talent development efforts aligned with client sector priorities.

HR Project Development and Implementation (approx. 50%)

Design and implement initiatives aimed at evolving HR practices and approaches (e.g., performance management, manager onboarding, knowledge transfer, cultural alignment).

Develop practical tools, guides, or training content for HR teams and managers.

Help shape a coherent and seamless employee and manager experience aligned with organizational culture.

Contribute to project deployment with methodical planning to strengthen practice adoption across the organization.

Profile Sought

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management, or a related field.

7 to 10 years of HR experience, with recognized expertise in labor relations.

Proven ability to manage complex cases with rigor, discretion, and a strategic mindset.

Strong project management, facilitation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.

Experience or familiarity with creative, technical, artistic, or industrial environments is an asset.

Self-driven, well-organized, and able to manage both short- and long-term priorities.

Contract Duration

12 months (possibility of extension depending on organizational needs)
