Role Description The Dispatch Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. This role oversees daily dispatch operations, including assigning loads, coordinating driver schedules, and ensuring timely, efficient movement of freight. The Dispatch Supervisor monitors route performance, resolves service issues, and communicates with drivers, customers, and internal teams to maintain high service standards. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with DOT and other transportation regulations, maintaining accurate dispatch records, and supporting safety and operational policies. The role also involves coaching and guiding dispatch staff, assisting with performance management, and contributing to process improvements that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills with experience leading dispatch or operations teams. Hands-on dispatching expertise, including load planning, routing, and driver coordination. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders. Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements. Proficiency with dispatch, fleet management, or TMS software and general computer literacy. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation operations is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field is an asset.
