The Manufacturing Project Manager plays a critical support role in ensuring the successful execution and tracking of projects within Ocean Infinity Canada. Reporting to the Product Delivery Manager, the Manufacturing Project Manager provides planning, coordination, documentation and analytical support to help project teams stay aligned, informed, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is an engineer with experience in manufacturing or production environments who is interested in transitioning into project management. This role supports project delivery across engineering, operations, procurement, and quality functions and requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset

Duties and responsibilities

  • The duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate tasks, maintain schedules, and track progress to support on-time project delivery.
  • Prepare and distribute project documentation and status reports in line with Ocean Infinity’s project management standards.
  • Maintain project data and dashboards, support performance analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, production, procurement, quality) to gather updates and ensure accurate tracking.
  • Support documentation of project scopes, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Identify and monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate to the Product Delivery Manager as needed.
  • Track action items and milestones, updating schedules and communicating status to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, trackers, and reports using standard tools (e.g., Excel, MS Project, Smartsheet).
  • Organize and coordinate project meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and following up on actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation per company guidelines.
  • Provide general administrative and reporting support to project and delivery teams.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field);
  • 3–5 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment;
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with technical drawings and engineering documentation;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in basic project tracking tools (Excel, MS Project, or equivalent);
  • Demonstrated interest in transitioning into project management while maintaining technical engagement.

Desirable

  • Experience working in marine and/or subsea industry;
  • PMP certification or in progress;
  • Exposure to project planning, scheduling, and budget tracking;
  • Experience supporting procurement, fabrication, or assembly of engineered systems.

Salary: Circa 90,000 CAD annually

Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
