Cross Country Canada Supplies and Rentals Inc., is a rapidly growing industrial supply and rental company operating in Western Canada as well as the United States through our subsidiary Cross 49 Supplies and Rentals Corp. We possess a fun and focused team of professionals who produce and supply a vast array of specialized supply and equipment solutions to energy infrastructure markets.
We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager who possesses a minimum of 5 years of tenure in a corporate supply chain role. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and shifting priorities are typical. This is a full-time opportunity with preferred location at our corporate branch in Spruce Grove, AB. Some travel may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, vendors and logistics partners in Canada and the United States
- Oversee the procurement process for approximately $20 million CAD in inventory, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve company processes and controls for accurate inventory management
- Analyze inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock turnover, aiming to maximize inventory turns annually while preventing stockouts or excess
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, plan procurement, and align inventory levels with business needs
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices for efficiency
- Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for products and services based on negotiated costs and deliverables with selected suppliers
- Work cross-functionally across the organization and with suppliers to solve any issues related to material supply, costing, and any related discrepancies regarding purchase order to invoice
- Collaborate with accounting and finance on system improvements and processes
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments and receive/track deliveries
- Assist with day-to-day operations as required
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar role
- A strong knowledge base of key supply chain concepts
- Existing relationships with industrial supply vendors
- Demonstrated ability to be organized and detail oriented while being efficient
- Results-driven and accountable
- Display resourcefulness and analytical thinking
- Self-starter who will take initiative to find ways to add value in your role
- Show reliability and consistency
- Full Class 5 driver?s license
- Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as required by the company and the province
Working Conditions
- Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs
- Travel may be necessary
