Responsibilities
Innovation North is seeking a Digital Marketing Assistant! This is part-time role for an undergraduate or graduate student at Ivey.
As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you can expect to:
In this role, you can expect to:

Contribute to Innovation North’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness and build an engaged following.

Conceptualize, design/create, and schedule content for LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram in Canva.

Engage with followers by responding to shares and comments as well as cross-posting content and tagging like-minded organizations.

Measure social media performance by reporting monthly analytics and offering recommendations to adjust our social media strategy accordingly.

Support designing and updating marketing materials such as PowerPoints, reports, etc.
Education:
-
Must be a full time student undergrad or Master's degree ( in progress), in a relevant area of focus ( Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Media Studies, Business Administration) and expect to retain full-time student status for the duration of this appointment
Experience:
-
1 year part time employment or volunteer experience
-
Experience working with a wide variety of digital marketing tools such as graphic design and video editing software
-
Social media management in a field related to sustainability, business, and/or innovation is preferred
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Active on social media and up-to-speed on emerging trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both academic and business audiences
- Feedback-seeking and able to make recommendations for improvement
- Ability to make connections and appropriately represent our brand
- Tech savvy and comfortable with learning new digital technologies
- An eye for design, user experience, and accessibility
- Strong critical thinking and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and seek clarification when needed
