This position is part of the I&T team located in London, ON and will be hybrid.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part-time at the Company location identified above and part-time remotely from your home. In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Work on UVC LED technology projects from concept to launch, ensuring performance, budget, and timeline goals are met.
  • Align technical efforts with business goals through coordination with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
  • Participate in daily engineering tasks, including UVC LED testing, test setup design, and data-driven investigations.
  • Source equipment and enhance team workflows, tools, and documentation for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teams to support team operations and initiatives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or other relevant engineering degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, prototyping, and engineering analysis.
  • Skilled in testing, validation, experimental design, and data analysis.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and familiar with manufacturing processes (3D printing, injection molding, CNC machining etc.)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Working with UVC LEDs, optical sensors, or related optical hardware
  • Using scripting languages for numerical simulation (e.g., MATLAB, Python) and database design
  • Test automation and data acquisition systems, including scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
  • Electrical design, reading schematics, wiring panels, and hands-on assembly
  • UVC disinfection principles such as fluence rate, dose-response, and pathogen inactivation
