About the role:

The Collection Specialist is responsible for managing accounts receivable activities with a focus on timely collections, accurate recordkeeping, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role plays a critical part in supporting cash flow while ensuring a fair, compliant, and customer-focused collections process. The individual in this role will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to resolve payment matters efficiently while upholding the organization’s values and policies.

The base salary for this role ranges between $45,000 - $55,000 CAD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage an assigned accounts receivable portfolio for US & Canada markets
  • Drive timely collections through outbound calls and email follow-ups with customers
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure on-time payments and reduce overdue balances
  • Handle customer queries, disputes, and escalations, ensuring resolution within defined TATs
  • Coordinate closely with Sales and Operations teams to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Process rebills, credit notes, and invoice corrections as required
  • Update and maintain accurate collection notes, payment statuses, and action plans in ERP systems (HighRadius, NetSuite, or other ERP tools)
  • Track, analyze, and report collection performance using Microsoft Excel
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Meet or exceed assigned KPIs and collection targets
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Collections
  • Hands-on experience handling US & Canada customers
  • Proficiency in HighRadius, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
