About the role
Volunteer Position Life Sciences DSC Upper-Year Buddies (positions below) The Life Sciences Departmental Student Council (DSC) is looking for enthusiastic and supportive upper-year Life Sciences students to join our team as Upper-Year Buddies for the 2025–2026 academic year. As a Buddy, you will play a key role in mentoring and guiding first- and second-year students, helping them navigate academics, student life, and opportunities within the Life Sciences program.
You will work closely with lower-year students, fellow council members, and faculty to foster an inclusive and welcoming community. This role offers the chance to give back to the program, share your experiences, and further develop your leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.
Note: These positions are intended for students in their third or fourth year of Life Sciences who are eager to support lower-year students, build connections, and strengthen the Life Sciences community.
Application Deadline: September 16th, 2025 at 4 PM EST
Time Commitment and Remuneration
- Term: September 2025 – April 30th, 2026
- Remuneration: If this position is subject to an honorarium, payouts will be in accordance with the Human Resources Honoraria Policy Grid 9.05.02 accessible here.
