Our client, a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to supporting diverse communities across the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead its technology strategy and operations. In this leadership role, you will oversee enterprise IT operations, vendor relationships, and technology strategy while guiding a team responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable systems. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and program teams to ensure technology investments align with organizational goals and enable effective service delivery.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll lead the strategic direction and operational management of the organization’s IT department.
• In this role, you’ll oversee vendor management, contract negotiations, and enterprise technology partnerships.
• You’ll guide system implementations, upgrades, and integrations to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
• You’ll develop and manage annual IT operating and capital budgets while ensuring efficient technology investments.
• You’ll provide leadership to IT teams, supporting recruitment, development, performance management, and engagement.
• You’ll collaborate with senior leadership and program teams to align technology initiatives with strategic objectives.
• You’ll oversee reporting, compliance, and operational governance related to technology systems and services.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing technology or development teams.
• Post-secondary education in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong experience overseeing enterprise IT operations including helpdesk services, databases, and software systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology procurement.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across departments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
