About the role

Position Summary The Trenton Emergency Department (ED) is a dynamic unit catering to Trenton and nearby communities. Our robust orientation program, including mentorship and in-class learning, empowers ER team members to expand their scope of practice, critical thinking, leadership, and nursing skills.

Despite being a medium-volume ED, we handle diverse patient acuity levels and conduct regular interhospital transfers for advanced care. RNs progress through roles, from minor acuity to Observation 1:1, Trauma Care, Triage, and eventually In Charge after gaining experience. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, self-confidence, and teamwork are key attributes we value. Effective communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team is crucial, along with a commitment to continuous learning.

Trenton ED fosters a familial atmosphere, supporting each other and collaborating seamlessly. We extend our assistance to the Inpatient Unit during critical care interventions, prioritizing the improvement and nurturing of team relationships. Join us for a rewarding experience in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment.
