Maintenance Specialist/Property Caretaker

Are you a skilled and versatile maintenance specialist looking for a dynamic contract opportunity? We are seeking an individual with expertise in various maintenance disciplines, including painting, carpentry and drywall, minor electrical work, plumbing, and property maintenance. If you are a reliable with a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of residential properties, we want to hear from you. This role is expected to be 30-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Painting: Execute high-quality paint jobs for both interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a polished and professional appearance.
- Carpentry and Drywall: Perform repairs and installations of carpentry and drywall elements, addressing issues such as cracks, holes, and general wear and tear.
- Minor Electrical Work: Troubleshoot and complete minor electrical repairs, including the installation and replacement of outlets, switches, and fixtures.
- Plumbing: Handle basic plumbing tasks, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets, to maintain optimal functionality.
- HVAC: Conduct routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
- General Maintenance: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Property services: Provide basic property caretaker services as required including cleaning, organizing, raking leaves, clearing walkways, etc...
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance specialist or handyman, with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in painting, carpentry, drywall, electrical, and plumbing.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time to meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Applicants are expected to have their own tools.
- Driver's Licence and reliable transportation is required
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Schedule:
- Day shift
- 30-40 hours weekly
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person - West Vancouver Area (with some downtown Vancouver)
