Vocalist - Mentor
About the role
Seeking a dedicated music mentor to provide expert guidance in preparing for opera and commercial song auditions. This role focuses on supporting a personal journey to enhance vocal technique, dance skills, stage presence, and overall audition readiness. The ideal mentor will offer tailored feedback, structured practice routines, and ongoing encouragement to help achieve audition goals. All sessions will be conducted remotely, allowing for flexible scheduling and consistent support throughout the audition process.
Responsibilities
- Develop personalized training plans targeting vocal performance, dance, and stage presence for opera and commercial genres
- Provide constructive feedback on audition pieces and performance techniques
- Guide the mentee through audition preparation, including repertoire selection and mock auditions
- Offer strategies for managing performance anxiety and building confidence on stage
- Track progress and adjust coaching methods to address evolving needs and goals
- Maintain regular communication and provide resources for continued skill development
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience mentoring or coaching vocalists for opera and commercial music auditions
- Strong background in vocal performance, dance, and stagecraft
- Ability to deliver clear, actionable feedback and foster a supportive learning environment
- Familiarity with current audition standards and expectations in both opera and commercial music sectors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable internet connection and proficiency with remote teaching tools
- Availability for ongoing, long-term mentorship sessions
