Technical Artist - ON & QC
About the role
High Voltage is currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to join our team and help us create amazing games. As a Technical Artist, you will have a broad understanding of the art creation process for games, including modeling, texturing, and animation fundamentals. You will leverage your knowledge to create complex art by combining geometry, materials, effects, and Unreal Engine Blueprints. Responsibilities

Create complex materials for characters, weapons, environments, and large world set pieces.

Support all teams with Blueprint management and setup for interactable items, weapons,

environments, and other gameplay elements.

Establish workflows and tools for other artists to utilize when making unique assets in DDC packages and Unreal.

Execute on a range of visual effects styles from realistic to stylized.

Work with engineers and artists to optimize content for many platforms.

Manage multiple complex tasks concurrently.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience creating Technical Art in the games industry.
- Must have a strong reel/portfolio showing executed game tech art.
- Shipped game title experience
- Experienced knowledge of PBR principles and material editors.
- Experience modeling and using texturing packages such as Substance Designer and Painter.
- Abilities in secondary areas such as modeling, skinning, animation, proceduralism, scripting or lighting.
- Desire and knowledge of how to push Unreal Engine further.
- Desire to work with a team and own features and initiatives from inception to ship.
- Familiarity with the Unreal 5 Engine art pipeline.
- Experience working on multiple platforms.
- Scripting experience Blueprint or other.
Nice To Haves:
- Experience working with Niagra systems.
- Experience working with Lumen and TOD sequenced based lighting.
To qualify, you must submit a resume, have shipped game titles or equivalent production development,
and submit a portfolio demonstrating your proficiency as a Technical Artist.
