Job Summary

SSMIC is seeking a motivated Business Research Analyst Intern to join our team. This internship presents an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced and supportive environment. The Intern will work closely with all teams to assist with research, community engagement, and CRM maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research on regional businesses, sector trends, and funding opportunities to support business development outreach, program intake, and client engagement activities. Research emerging technologies including AI to implement into internal client and partnership workflows. Assist in researching, identifying, coordinating, and attending opportunities for organizational visibility within the local business community, including partnerships, sponsorships, award programs, and regional initiatives. Support the maintenance and updating of contact records, program participant data, and outreach tracking within the organization's CRM and internal tools to ensure accuracy and reporting readiness. Assist in with client and community engagements including digital content, and client highlights.

Required Skills

A university degree or college diploma in business, information technology, or related field. Aptitude for accurate, highly detailed and analytical skills. Strong research skills.

Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Superior customer service skills, and professional attitude. Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills. Reliable, independent, and able to work flexible hours with minimal supervision or direction
