Head Concierge (North Vancouver Location)
About the role
HEAD CONCIERGE/TEAM LEAD: RESIDENTIAL STRATA BUILDINGS
The Head Concierge will work directly with our Operations Management Team in ensuring smooth operations in their designated site(s). They hold a key leadership role in their building(s), overseeing all aspects of client relations with residents, property managers, building staff, contractors and where applicable, developer staff.
Team Lead Scope:
The Head Concierge must be experienced and comfortable in supervisory functions. This includes: training and developing existing and new staff, assessing and correcting performance, and modelling and building on the Company’s standards for high quality and expedient service delivery to all parties. Budgeting, scheduling and time-keeping skills are needed to effectively oversee a team.
Duties:
- Addressing and resolving complaints and/or issues escalated by concierge team
- Effectively responding to property manager’s requests
- Supervising, training and developing the concierge team on site
- Scheduling to ensure site(s)’ operating needs are consistently met
- Working with Management to develop and update operating procedures and practices
- Working with Human Resources to ensure staff requests and needs are communicated and met
Candidates’ Attributes:
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as Head Concierge in fast-paced, strata setting
- Superb ability to listen and proactively address issues
- Great at multi-tasking, handling multiple and shifting demands and timelines
- Adept at handling challenging situations and diffusing conflict
- Excellent communication skills, including professional writing
- Ability to work flexible hours to respond to business needs
- Hospitality training/hospitality industry experience
- High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Work Environment:
- Full-time Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. Must work Statutory Holidays.
- Schedule : Mon to Fri - 8am to 4pm
- Fast-paced environment
- Physical capacity for regular walking and monitoring premises
- Will supervise 3-4 team members
