About the role
WHO WE ARE
BVT Truck & Trailer Repair, a division of Steve’s Livestock Transport,is a diverse mechanic shop specializing in repairs and maintenance for all types of trucks and trailers as well as custom aluminum fabrication.
We are looking to add aService Writerto our team inBlumenort, MB.
SHIFT
Day Shift(4 x 10-hour shifts)
Monday - Thursday, 1:30 pm – 12:00 midnight
$3.00/hr night shift premium
YOUR ROLE
- Initiate service and repairs
- Answer calls/walk-ins, book appointments and maintain appointment schedule for customers (internal & external)
- Manage driver maintenance requests and breakdowns
- Verify warranty coverage
- Develop estimates
- Create, assign and close RO’s
- Coordinate equipment availability with dispatch to ensure expedient repairs while maintaining adequate volumes of equipment to avoid service interruptions
- Coordinate the shop at the start of the shift to support the drivers
- Coverage for the parts departments as required
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous service writing experience
- Customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, computers, and internet
- Experience with TMT Software an asset
- Preference will be given to candidates with a trucking background

About Steve's Livestock Transport
Founded in 1987 as a one-man operation, Steve's Livestock Transport has since grown to become North America's largest commercial livestock transportation company. Over the last 25 years, we have expanded to include a dry freight division. We have three locations to serve our customers, in Blumenort and Brandon, Manitoba and Acme, Alberta.
We have a fleet of 130 power units, transporting more than 2,500 cattle and 150,000 pigs per week within Canada and the United States. All 3 of our locations have commercial washing and repair facilities for trucks and trailers. In addition to servicing our own units, these facilities provide custom washing and repairs for other large equipment and fleets as well.
