Summary of responsibilities:

The Manager, Program Deployment is responsible for the coordination of screening technology deployment programs in airports located across Canada. The Manager, Program Deployment performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized university with specialization in project management, engineering, public administration, economics, commerce, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in project management of large-scale projects, including project design, development, budget management and implementation.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience leading teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the execution of projects, procurement/contract management, installation/site preparation, operational/business planning/management, negotiation, consultation, project management, monitoring and reporting.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong leadership.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and multi-task on multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate and liaise effectively; ability to engage others.
  • Strong teamwork orientation.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with various audiences, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage large, complex budgets.
  • Flexibility, creative problem-solving.

Valuable skills include:

  • P. Eng or PMP designation.
  • Experience in project management of large-scale pre-board screening, Hold-baggage screening, or non-passenger screening projects.
  • Knowledge of CATSA’s mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
  • Knowledge of the workings of the Federal government.

Specific work requirements:

  • Ability to travel as required;
  • Language Profile: Bilingual CBCC;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
