About the role
JOB SUMMARY: As a key member of the team, You will be responsible for supporting our manufacturing and sales activities by: sourcing of raw materials and components, inventory management of these goods, all shipping and receiving of goods between customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with the Production Manager to ensure appropriate flow of materials required for Manufacturing.
- Responsible to process returns and credits.
- Working with Production Manager to find alternative sources based on market requirements from expediting backorders to market price competitiveness.
- Always maintain a courteous and professional demeanor and communication with Customers and internal Staff.
- Support the Production Manager with structured local Procurement services.
- Seek resolution with local Vendors on nonconformances and warranty claims.
- Actively & continuously strive to improve our practices and efficiencies.
- Participate in projects and Customer support initiatives as appropriate.
- Replenish and restock approved inbound shipments into their proper locations.
- Ensure pallets and shelving units are in good working condition to handle loads being stocked.
- Unpack, verify and record incoming shipments. Ensure received material is in compliance with purchase orders regarding identification, type, quantities, part numbers, etc.
- Visually inspect goods or materials received for damage from handling and transit. Process damage reports in accordance with procedures.
- Input receiving documentation into the related computer system.
- Remove, recycle and dispose of unneeded packing materials.
- Pick client orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Visually inspect all products prior to completing Client orders.
- Weigh completed orders and record product weights prior to packaging.
- Maintain the work area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
- Rotate stock as needed.
- Comply with the organization’s environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards.
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience with sourcing and inventory management preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:
- A strong knowledge of electrical componentry. However, a combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered.
- Strong analytical skills, with a methodical, organized, and efficient work style.
- Ability to work with multiple streams of data and extract useful information.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications (strong Excel skills are essential), and the ability to learn new systems.
INTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications such Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience in M3 or similar ERP systems.
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and be highly organized.
- High degree for reliability and someone that takes pride in the work they do
- Efficient oral and written communication skills.
- Combined commercial and technical interests with aptitude to stay informed.
- Self-motivated and well-organized working profile.
- Show creativity and have a problem solver attitude.
