Individual must demonstrate attention to detail, thorough knowledge of truck safety, dedication to exceptional customer service, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain a positive public image of the company with appropriate personal conduct and by operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional, and courteous manner
- Create a positive and rewarding customer experience
- Participate in loading delivery trucks and customers, as needed
- Deliver products in a safe and timely manner to scheduled customers
- Complete accurate delivery paperwork
- Complete daily vehicle inspection reports and complete driver logs
- Care for company vehicles and equipment to company standards, and complete daily maintenance, inspections, and cleaning
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times
- Participate and comply in Rockland?s Health and Safety program
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience operating a dump truck
- Flat deck truck experience is an asset but not necessary
- Class 3 and/or 1 driver's license
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Strong knowledge for truck and equipment safety
- Knowledge of City of Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Neat appearance and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Tickets and Training
- WHMIS certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Experience:
- Tandem Truck Driver: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 1 or 3 License (required)
