Overview

Arthur J. Gallagher Canada Limited is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven professional to join our team as a Learning and Development Coach, National Operations. Reporting to the Vice President, Process Integration and Learning, this role is pivotal in supporting the learning and development needs of our service staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering training solutions, enhancing processes, and driving change management initiatives to ensure our service teams are equipped to deliver a world-class client experience.

This national role offers flexibility in location therefore the successful candidate does not need to reside in Ontario.

How you'll make an impact

  • Collaborate with Regional Client Solutions Leaders to identify learning needs and develop or review nationwide training content to address those needs.

  • Research and resolve routine issues that arise during the development and implementation of learning programs.

  • Partner with operational service teams to implement new training courses and materials.

  • Facilitate training sessions across regions and divisions, utilizing various formats such as classroom sessions, webinars, and learning collateral e.g., presentations, facilitator guides, job aids, and assessments.

  • Promote the adoption of processes, system utilization, and best practices through training tailored for new employees, employees acquired through mergers and acquisitions and those requiring reinforcement of existing practices.

  • Collaborate with the Professional Standards team to ensure consistent training and messaging across all staff regarding processes and standards.

  • Work closely with the Gallagher Centre of Excellence to ensure business processes are adhered to and supporting documentation is accurate.

About you

  • A university degree or equivalent business experience demonstrating the ability to achieve results.

  • A minimum of 5 years of directly applicable experience in commercial insurance brokerage.

  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance is essential.

  • Familiarity with EPIC is an asset.

  • Proven experience in delivering quality training content through various modalities.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage training projects and deliver results within deadlines.

  • A motivated self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • A positive attitude with the ability to view situations from multiple perspectives and apply strategic thinking.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to identify learning needs and support the development of training materials.

  • Skilled in delivering and facilitating training sessions both in-person and via webinars in an engaging and effective manner.

  • Effective change management skills

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

  • A valid “G” driver’s license in good standing.
