What does an Advisor of Performance Development do?
You will use your technical knowledge of CATSA SOPs, focusing on quality assurance, auditing, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement, alongside exceptional communication and program development capabilities.
- Design, develop, and deliver training materials, briefing documents, and communications approved by CATSA, which address systemic gaps, skill deficiencies or emerging trends, and changes, enhancements, and updated learning modules
- Collaborate with Performance and Compliance Managers to create supplementary materials, and support rollout of policy, reinforcing SOP changes, operational efficiencies, policy updates, and Performance Improvement Action Plans
- Monitor, track, and validate corrective actions and applications of SOPs and training standards across all sites through Compliance sampling, observation, and documentation analysis
- Contributing to discussion with CATSA representations on operational improvement, SOP interpretation, and procedural adjustments.
Evaluate learning and training effectiveness, and translate results into actionable improvements by creating dashboards, summaries, or reports of performance data
- Reinforces a respectful, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture through consistent leadership presence and fair application of standards.
What you bring to PASS:
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
- Able to obtain a Transport Security Clearance, Federal Secret Security Clearance, and clean criminal record
- English fluency, verbal and written (French is considered an asset)
- 2+ years of equivalent work experience in relevant field (Aviation, Aviation Security, Adult Education)
- 1+ year experience working as a Screening Officer
- Experience as Screening Contractor Training Representative and knowledge of CATSA’s enhanced endorsements (HSB, NPSV) a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, focus on policy writing
- Experience in developing and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- MS Office proficiency, and experience with Learning Management Systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Adaptability for change and willing to think creatively to address evolving challenges.
- Ability to travel as required
