Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing financial data and reports to support the managerial and financial reporting for the Bank and updating the periodic changes to the data and accounting records. The position is responsible for accurately recording the financial data into the accounting system in order to support the relevant and accurate financial reporting processes and to support the Bank’s decision making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and auditors.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.
Who You Are
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- You have your CPA designation
- You have previous experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
- You have strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, accounting principles and financial modeling
- It is preferred that you have experience in a supervisory role
- You are proficient in financial software and tools, such as Excel, financial modeling software, and data visualization tools
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends
- You have a solid understanding of banking products, services, and financial markets
- You pay strong attention to detail and have a high degree of accuracy in financial analysis, reporting, and record-keeping
- You operate with a high level of accountability, transparency, ownership, while maintaining a growth mindset
- You are a self starter who is able to identify priorities and execute tasks without detailed instructions
- You take full ownership of responsibilities and follows through to completion
- You have strong communication skills and convey clear, concise updates via email or chat, reducing the need for unnecessary follow ups or meetings for clarification
- You are comfortable reviewing financial reports and understand core accounting concepts
- You are tech-savvy and automation minded and have experience with simple script, macros or adopting new tools to improve efficiency
- You have demonstrated leadership potential to coach team members and manage conflict
