Sales Specialist (Sales Enablement)
Top Benefits
About the role
Founded and based in Richmond, BC, Canada, Ideon Technologies uses the energy from supernova explosions in space to image deep beneath the Earth’s surface. The world pioneer in cosmic-ray muon tomography, Ideon has developed the REVEAL™ Subsurface Intelligence Platform™, comprising an advanced suite of proprietary data-generation hardware, software, AI-powered services, and multi-physics fusion that provide x-ray-like visibility deep underground and unlock the exponential power of integrated spatial data.
By transforming muon data into reliable 3D density maps, Ideon helps geologists identify, map, characterize, and monitor mineral deposits with confidence. This reduces risk and cost of traditional methods, while saving time, optimizing return, and minimizing environmental impact across the mining value chain. In turn, this is helping accelerate the world’s transition to low-impact mining and transform how companies recover the critical minerals required to power the global shift to clean energy – improving peoples’ lives and enhancing economic prosperity.
We are a dynamic tech scale-up of nearly 70 employees (and growing!). We are a team that is entrepreneurial by nature and focused on doing things right to deliver great customer outcomes. And we are committed to seeking out the best brains and the most exceptional humans, wherever they come from and however they happen to be packaged.
The Role
We are seeking a Sales Specialist (Sales Enablement) to join our dynamic and growing Business Development team based in North America and Australia. In this role, you will increase sales impact by owning the shared sales support core and elevating how we show up to customers through crisp narratives, collateral, and coaching loops.
You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer while working closely in partnership with Business Development Executives (BDEs) and another Sales Specialist (Revenue Operations).
You are keen to talk to people, capable of juggling several priorities and driving through to completion, highly organized with a desire to improve and automate processes and are content working with business development professionals travelling to face-to-face customer meetings while you support from the “home office”.
You will impact and drive Ideon’s objectives forward by focusing on the following activities:
- Perform account research for current and prospective mining customers (company messaging, financials, asset status, value drivers).
- Conduct stakeholder mapping (budget holders, decision makers, key influencers).
- Qualify new potential opportunities and target individuals for Business Development Executives to pursue.
- Add to and update our customer relationship management system (CRM) with prospect and customer information and sales activities that you personally oversee.
- Ensure the sales process and each stage of the sales cycle are consistently followed.
- Draft proposals and RFP responses, engaging internal stakeholders as you guide the process to delivery.
- Partner with BDEs on sales planning and the creation of client-facing proposals and presentations
- Coordinate internally to keep opportunities moving in BDE workflow.
- Uncover and understand high-level company messaging, review annual statements and quarterly earnings, learn about the key challenges and value drivers for each customer and site.
- Work closely with Customer Experience & Marketing to align on sales execution, planning, and ensuring superior customer experience.
- Monitor and act on mining industry news (i.e. demand trends regarding commodities, changes in ownership and operational status, funding announcements, etc.).
- Demonstrate strong initiative by driving process improvements and identifying ways to make the team even more effective.
- Own the sales knowledge system in Notion: information architecture, playbooks, use-case narratives, and proof points.
- Own the Gong library structure, tagging standards, highlight reels, and learning assets to improve conversation quality.
- Partner with Customer Experience & Marketing to evolve messaging, collateral, and case examples; ensure content remains current and field-tested.
- Support onboarding and ramp-up for new Business Development Executives; ensure consistent articulation of Ideon value propositions across opportunities.
- Feed field insights back into content and messaging improvements; champion clarity and consistency.
Success in the role looks like:
- BDEs show up sharper and more consistent in customer conversations; content usage and relevance trend up.
- Deck and proposal customization cycles shorten; win narratives align clearly to customer value drivers.
- Onboarding/ramp for new Business Development Executives is smoother with fewer ad-hoc asks; playbooks are adopted.
- Field insights are captured and reflected in improved messaging and collateral.
- You are a trusted go-to partner for the BD team and reliably move initiatives forward.
Priorities in the first few months will include:
- Getting a handle of the available marketing content; putting it to use, giving feedback for enhancements, and requesting new content as needed.
- Digging into 1-2 target accounts per Business Development Executive and really understanding the opportunities inside and out.
- Update and finalize sales processes, policies, and finalize the development of our sales knowledge center.

Nice-to-haves:
- A background working in the mining industry

- Solid teamwork skills; you’re accountable to yourself and your team and will jump in to help where you can.
- Creative solutioning mindset with great problem-solving skills.
- Insatiable curiosity paired with a drive to deliver.
- Able to work well under pressure and to meet committed deadlines.
- Great interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders.
