- This is a contract role covering for an employee on a leave of absence, with an anticipated duration of approximately 7 months to one year in length. There is a remote chance the role could become permanent. Training will consist of being onsite 5 days/week until training is complete, at which time the role will transition to a hybrid work schedule*
Focus will be on Indirect Procurement of goods and services for Imagine Communications. Your involvement within Global Procurement will be to assist the department in monitoring spend/supplier profile data, providing timely reports all in effort to meet company procurement objectives; and putting forth suggestions that will further improve overall activities.
- Identify procurement needs and collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements to meet Global Procurement objectives.
- Assist preparers in creating requisitions in Oracle Fusion, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Register and maintain supplier profiles in Oracle Fusion.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to invoices, purchase orders (POs), and payments.
- Monitor the relationship and performance of those suppliers assigned, to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and accuracy of orders and invoices.
- Assist in ensuring contracts in Cobblestone data warehouse are accurate and up to date.
- Review requisitions for completeness and compliance with Global Procurement’s guidelines.
- Track and follow up on open purchase orders with requisitioners and suppliers.
- Run and analyze procurement reports to monitor key performance indicators and objectives.
- Provide and create Oracle Fusion Global Procurement training to new staff and support users with system navigation.
- Collaborate with departments and support other Global Procurement team members and management in achieving operational goals.
- Ensure Global Procurement activities comply with company policy.
- Maintain accurate Procurement records for audit and reporting purposes.
- Monitoring Open Purchase Orders expected delivery dates, following up with Requisitioners and if necessary; with suppliers to ensure information in the system is as up to date.
- Complete recurring purchases; when necessary; by obtaining quotes, preparing requisitions and subsequent follow-up with supplier.
- Working closely with various departments and providing support to other Procurement team members and Management, as required, to successfully implement and report on Global Procurement activities.
- Obtain supplier quotation, review, summarize and present best procurement options to internal stakeholders.
- Complete additional duties and projects, as assigned by Management.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience working in a similar role, in either Procurement/Purchasing/Supply Chain.
- College diploma or University degree in Business/Administration, or Supply Chain
- Certification from SCMAO or APICS, would be an asset
- Advanced competency using MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
- Understanding of T&C’s, SOW, Contracts, legal terminology
- Working experience with an ERP system; preferably Oracle/Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, SAP, PeopleSoft etc.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good English, Math, and problem solving skills.
- Experience working with Accounts Payable and Suppliers.
