Job Description The incumbent serves as the first point of contact for staff, members of the public and students seeking to engage with the International Education Centre (IEC). The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to triage visitors, students, and staff to appropriate individuals within the IEC and/or departments at the College for service. The incumbent is also responsible to provide support to the Associate Directors, Manager of International Student Integration, and the Manager of Lead Management and Conversion or International Operations which include student services and lead management and conversion. The incumbent provides student support and assistance both to students themselves and International Education Centre’s International Student Advisors and International Student Recruitment team.
The incumbent is responsible for responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in the college and community, in compliance with the regulations of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year certificate or equivalent Office Administration
- Minimum three (3) years of practical administrative experience in a non-routine, fast-paced office environment, preferably in an educational environment with International students
- Demonstrated experience working with and providing superior level of customer service to clients from various cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office, preferred with experience in Genesis, Salesforce.
- Basic data management software (Salesforce, managing files)
- Business writing skills preferred
- Communication skills and the ability to work well as a team member
- Critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of the College student services and departments is an asset.
Anticipated Weekly Schedule This position is 20 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30AM - 12:30 PM
