About the role
Part Time Housekeeper Position
Under the direction of the Resident Support Services Manager is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in an efficient and cooperative manner with due consideration for our residents. This part time position is for 22.5 hours bi weekly with the opportunity of working additional shifts throughout the week.
Qualifications: Must be authorized to work in Canada. Housekeeping experience is an asset. Knowledge of standard cleaning, chemical products and equipment an asset. Must be able to effectively communicate both written and orally in English; understand labels and instruction particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemical and products. Maintain standards with daily cleaning tasks of all resident rooms and common areas in accordance with established standards and procedures. Must be physically able to perform duties including some heavy lifting. Must be able to withstand long periods of standing. Replenish supplies as required along with housekeeping storage area, cart and equipment in a safe and orderly manner to ensure the safety of all staff. Ability to work with little supervision. Participate with ongoing Fire Prevention, Health and Safety and continuous Quality Improvement policies.
