Position: Biology PhD

Type: Hourly contractor Compensation: $65–$75/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 15–20 hours/week Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate asynchronously with a team of experts in your domain.
  • Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability.
  • Develop high-quality content to inform the future of AI innovation.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure the work is fully remote and asynchronous.

Qualifications Must-Have

  • Master's or PhD in Biology from a top US university.
  • Experience coding in Python, R for projects or research.
  • Field-specific experience in Ecology, Biochemistry, or Genetics.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia.

Start Date

  • Late December; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Interview Process

  • Complete a short interview to assess your domain expertise.
  • Paid for up to 1 hour of onboarding time including the screening process and onboarding videos if hired.

Compensation & Legal

  • Legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor.
  • Paid out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect.
