What is the opportunity?
The Corporate Client Group (“CCG”) provides financial solutions and advice to
mid-market corporate clients. The team is responsible for meeting annually
established targets for revenues and returns while providing advice to key
partners in order to fulfill broader RBC relationship goals.
As a Senior Manager, Business Performance, you are responsible for financial reporting and analysis to monitor business performance and articulate key insights to support leadership with strategic decisions.
What will you do?
- Leverage deep financial statement analysis and business knowledge to provide meaningful insights about business performance (e.g. variance and driver-based analysis)
- Analyze, prepare and present reports to CCG senior leaders to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost management, product improvement
- Develop and establish sales KPIs that assess and highlight areas of risk across divisions
- Articulate business and financial impact of strategic business decisions to senior leaders with CCG
- Lead in volume and capacity planning needs of CCG Operations Officer and Finance business partners
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to develop, enhance and automate business performance reports and processes
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with demonstrated experience driving insights from financial data
- Professional written and verbal communication skills and prior experience presenting to senior leadership
- Advanced knowledge and experience with using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- High level of attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, perform well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to interact at all levels within a large organization
Nice to have:
- CPA or MBA
- Ability to create Excel macros and improve reporting efficiencies
- Experience with forecasting, planning and budgeting processes
