Job Description Are you a Senior Project Manager looking for your next step? Join Fleetway’s Service Delivery Team and help play a critical role in driving Fleetway’s success in the shipbuilding and marine sector by ensuring complex projects are delivered with precision, accountability, and alignment to engineering intent. Our team is known for its practical expertise in marine engineering environments, and we’re proud to contribute to major Canadian naval projects.

We’re currently seeking a Senior Project Manager who is eager to lead, grow, and make an impact. You’ll be part of a collaborative team developing maintenance strategies, estimating and planning for projects — now and into the future.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and leads the project team, ensuring the right talent is in place, roles are clearly defined, and team members are supported to perform effectively throughout the project.
  • Directs project work and ensures quality assurance through effective task coordination, progress tracking, and adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Manages stakeholder communication and customer relationships by providing timely updates, facilitating collaboration, and maintaining trust and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Defines scope, requirements and deliverables to ensure clear objectives and stakeholder alignment.
  • Creates work breakdown structure (WBS), schedule, and budget to organize tasks, set timelines, and manage costs effectively.
  • Plans resources, communications, and risk management to ensure the right people are engaged, information flows smoothly, and potential issues are proactively addressed.
  • Manages changes, risks, and issues that arise by evaluating impacts and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Maintaining quality control and reporting through regular reviews, status updates, and stakeholder communications to ensure transparency and accountability

Qualifications

  • A Technical diploma in a related field or equal qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in shipbuilding, repair, or refit projects.
