About Oceanic Releaf
Ahead of the impending legalization of cannabis in Canada, Oceanic ReLeaf (‘Oceanic’) is one of the few late stage applicants with Health Canada under ACMPR in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Based in the rural Newfoundland setting of the Burin Peninsula, Oceanic’s growing facility will be housed in a converted 63,000 sq. ft. secondary processing plant in the community of Burin. Phase one of its plan involves 15,000 sq. ft. of retrofit. The business is in the start-up phase with interest in all aspects of the cannabis industry, including growing, distribution, branded products and a retail-level presence.
Oceanic’s focus is primarily on the medical/therapeutic marijuana market, with a secondary interest in the recreational market. Partnering with medical researchers, Oceanic seeks to bring positive change to rural communities through employment and health research. For recreational market, Oceanic will act as a grower and supplier to bricks-and-mortar retail locations, as a packaged goods-type brand available for purchase by consumers and with its own branded Oceanic retail storefront locations.
