Calgary Housing (CH) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The City of Calgary. CH is a purpose-driven social enterprise and the largest housing operator in Calgary, providing safe and affordable housing to more than 27,000 Calgarians. As a Business Process and Change Consultant, you will lead corporate business process strategy, redesign and change implementation for complex, cross-functional initiatives that impact citizen-facing and internal services. You will facilitate end-to-end transformation from manual to automated workflows, translating strategy into executable plans, deliverables and measurable outcomes for business owners. Primary duties include:
- Establish and steward the enterprise vision for end-to-end process architecture, including governance frameworks and standards that drive transformation.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to identify, prioritize, and deliver strategic process improvements aligned with corporate objectives.
- Influence policies, business rules, and leadership decisions while aligning roles, technology, and roadmaps to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Design KPI/OKR frameworks and plan for scalable implementation, embedding controls and preparing processes for automation and AI adoption.
- Lead business process redesign and continuous improvement, overseeing discovery, current- and future-state design, and drive waste reduction through automation and digital solutions.
- Ensure clear documentation of roles and responsibilities and champion pilots, benefits realization, and stabilization of process changes to support long-term sustainment.
- Lead program-level process and change initiatives, align projects to organizational objectives, and manage delivery across planning, execution, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Guide cross-functional teams and drive change readiness through communication, training, sponsor engagement, and resistance management.
- Lead training, workshops, and communications to promote process excellence, align priorities across divisions, and ensure adoption, governance, and risk management.
- Design metrics and dashboards to report on improvement and benefits realized.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Public Administration or a related field and at least 5 years in business process design/redesign and improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification (or equivalent) and Prosci Change Management certification (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience leading large-scale, cross-divisional transformation or enterprise change programs is preferred.
- Experience implementing automation, digital workflows, or AI-enabled process improvements at an enterprise scale.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management practices, and internal controls in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Experience designing and delivering training or organizational learning strategies to support change adoption.
- Advanced analytical and data visualization skills, including experience developing dashboards and performance reporting frameworks.
- Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills complemented with strong communication and facilitation skills and the ability to influence others and build consensus.

Position Type: 2 Temporary (up to 18 months)
Compensation: Pay Grade 12 $48.54 - 64.88 per hour
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
Days of work: This position works a 5-day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Location: 200, 2535 3 Avenue SE
Audience: Internal/External
