Job Overview

Supports the merchant team within a buying group, to support the business to achieve P&L deliverables and sell the products to better serve members and MEC.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Issues purchase orders within Open-to-Buy parameters, responsible for PO creation, and follow up with vendors.
  • Reviews weekly PO status reporting and follows up on outstanding PO confirmations,

and late ASNs based on ship/DC dates.

  • Makes POs adjustments and cancellations based on confirmations back from vendors.
  • Reviews past cancel date POs for cancellations, reissuance/escalation.
  • Reviews and resolves inbound PO discrepancies, and product information discrepancies.
  • Responsible to gather and input data; build, analyze and maintain reports to support merchandise decisions utilizing systems such as D365, as well as create and track vendor funded markdowns and credits.
  • Responsible for supporting merchants with assortment planning activities, eg. product set up.
  • Support merchants with merchandise event/promotional execution including but not limited to item selection templates and marketing campaign templates.
  • Support the business on product recalls, entering pertinent information into the system for the business to act upon.
  • Assist merchant in setting up new vendors and assist in product set up through template completion with vendor and hand off to cross-functional merchandise operation partners.
  • Assist merchant with running size sorting functions.
  • Assisting merchants with price and PO changes as relates to DCR and adjustments from vendors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year administrative professional or related experience.
  • 1 year experience using basic Microsoft Office functionality, but strong Excel skills considered a key asset.
  • Strong proactive and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to priorities and manage conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to work in cross functional teams.
  • Should be Experience with D365 is an asset. .
