Description
This is a temporary contract position and for an existing vacancy.
The Project Manager will lead the implementation of an enterprise-grade Azure Landing Zone, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and urgent priorities such as SAP S/4HANA and Data & AI initiatives. This role requires strong program management skills, deep understanding of cloud governance, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a high-level plan and detailed delivery roadmap for the Azure Landing Zone initiative.
- Coordinate design workshops and architecture reviews with internal teams and external Azure Architect.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across security, network, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
- Oversee vendor and partner engagements, including Microsoft ECIF-funded resources and professional services.
- Track risks, issues, dependencies, and maintain clear communication with leadership.
- Manage program funding, budget tracking, and reporting.
- Drive operational readiness and handover to support teams.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Azure Landing Zone concepts, governance, and architecture.
- Knowledge of Azure security, identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID), and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise networking in Azure (hub-and-spoke, ExpressRoute, VPN).
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and Data & AI workload requirements in cloud environments.
- Proven ability to manage multi-team programs and facilitate design discussions.
- Vendor and partner management experience, including Microsoft ECIF engagements.
- Excellent communication, risk management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Azure Fundamentals or Architect-level certification.
- Experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation programs.
- Background in enterprise IT infrastructure and security.
This is a hybrid role requiring the contractor to be on site at least 2 days per week at the office in Toronto, ON.
