Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, GNSS R&D, the Antenna Lab Technician supports antenna design and validation activities. The role is hands-on and lab-driven: you’ll run Vector Network Analyzer measurements, perform antenna and amplifier matching, execute anechoic-chamber tests (including basic calibrations), and build/verify engineering prototypes while collaborating with RF, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
Responsibilities

Set up and run Vector Network Analyzer S-parameter sweeps, apply simple de-embedding, and save and plot Touchstone data.

Perform antenna matching/tuning to target bands, and document results with photos and final values.

Configure basic LNA biasing per datasheet, verify current/voltage and stability, and assist with input/output matching.

Execute anechoic-chamber tests (TRP/TIS/efficiency/pattern cuts), help with daily checks/calibrations, and export labeled datasets.

Build and rework RF prototypes for measurements

Maintain instruments and ESD-safe benches, track consumables, and keep the lab organized and audit-ready.

Produce concise measurement reports and change logs, follow naming/versioning, and upload data to shared repositories.
Qualifications
-
Diploma/bachelor’s in electrical engineering, physics, or related fields.

3 years of hands-on experience in RF, antenna, or electronics lab work
-
Comfortable with VNA setup/operation, basic RF measurements, and interpreting Smith charts and gain plots.

Hands-on proficiency with soldering iron and hot air station (0402passives, coax connectors, Hybrid chip.).
-
Familiarity with matching networks, LNA biasing, and RF test fixtures.
-
Exposure to anechoic-chamber workflows and basic calibrations is strongly preferred.

Solid lab fundamentals: ESD practice, neat wiring, clear labeling, diligent note-taking.

Able to read schematics, simple RF layouts, and component datasheets.

Scripting for data/automation (Python/Matlab) and basic Git usage is preferred
-
Communication via concise reporting and reliable task follow-through.
