The Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is responsible for providing leadership, operational support and oversight of the United Nations security management system (UNSMS) globally. This position is located in the Department of Safety and Security in Aden, Yemen. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Chief Security Adviser, through the Field Security Coordination Officer/Area Security Adviser, the Field Security Associate assists in the implementation of security operations and all matters relating to the management of safety and security for UN personnel in the Area of Responsibility (AoR).
