Headquartered in Los Angeles, Wasserman's presence spans 28 countries and more than 70 cities, including New York, London, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Madrid, Mexico City, Toronto, Paris and Sydney. For more information, please visit www.teamwass.com . Our brands and properties division works with iconic brands and rights holders, supporting business growth through all marketing disciplines. We're a trusted partner to every major league, team and venue, building meaningful connections between brands, properties and fans. In Canada, we’ve proudly been recognized as the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada’s ‘Agency of the Year’ for 5 of the past 6 years. As Wasserman supports hybrid working environments and also acknowledges the benefits of in-office collaboration, our global policy is 3-days per week in-office. Job Overview Wasserman seeks a sharp, ambitious mixed-technology Junior Art Director to guide and create creative assets for our best-in-class clients. You communicate with images and have strong conceptual chops, too. You have the vision to create big-picture plans and the technical chops to execute them flawlessly. You are familiar with the production process, and the prep and post that goes into that. You communicate with ease, both to Sr. Creatives, cross-department team leads, and with peers to work collaboratively. And you are obsessive about the details and best practices across platforms.
What You’ll Do Your day-to-day work will include leading conceptual and visual development for innovative social content, working with a Designer, Copywriter, CD, and/or Motion Graphics Editor to create multiple assets, and ensuring all work upholds brand guidelines.
- Be a key holder of brand guidelines and know how to use brand assets to raise the bar within parameters
- Being creative on how to elevate assets with little to no material
- Seek opportunities to go above and beyond
- Proactive in bringing relevant ideas and art directions to make our client stand out in a category that looks all the same
- Design a wide range of content that supports the brand and get people talking
- Collaborate with other members of the creative and production teams to ensure assets are aligned
- Participate in brainstorms, communicate concepts and take direction and feedback from creative directors and account leads.
- Collaborate on client presentation and pitch decks
- Work hand-in-hand with a creative technologist to ensure a seamless creative development and production process
- Collaborate with CD, Copywriters, and Designers to help produce creative guides for shoots including location, styling, talent and photo/video style samples
- Keep up-to-date on the latest cultural trends
What We’re Looking For
- 2-3+ years of agency-side experience developing creative assets
- Strong ability to concept multiple ideas quickly
- A keen eye for what works and the communication skills to explain why
- The ability to collaborate across internal teams and clients
- A knack for picking up brands’ visual identities, understanding why they work and switching between them quickly
- Proficient with Photoshop and all relevant image manipulation tools and apps
- Understanding of image display standards on all social platforms
- Commitment to excellence — working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite for Mac
Base salary range: $55-70K CAD, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
