Agilus is recruiting for a Buyer in the energy sector in Calgary, Alberta. We're actively hiring for our client in the energy sector who are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team. Perfect person for this role has experience in field ops, maintenance, site services, or construction.
What's In It For You
- $45.00 hourly
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
- Full time in-office
- Location: downtown Calgary
- 12-month contract with chance of extension
A Typical Day
- Manage procurement activities for site operations, maintenance, and field services.
- Review purchase requests, issue purchase orders, and track PO changes and status with suppliers.
- Support sourcing activities, including RFx preparation, contracts, and supplier performance management.
- Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities while ensuring policy compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and support supply chain colleagues as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of procurement experience in field operations, maintenance, or site services
- Post-secondary completion in business or supply chain
- Strong working knowledge with SAP
- Proven negotiation skills
- Any experience with Ariba will be an asset
