About the role

BLUEWATER DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD Invites applications from candidates for placement on the Office Professionals & Technicians (OPT) Casual Supply List (Owen Sound; Meaford and surrounding areas) Members of the OPT Casual Supply List are primarily used to replace staff in school offices for short-term daily supply or long-term temporary assignments. On occasion the supply list is used to fill an absence or for a specific project in one of the administration offices: Bluewater District School Board Education Centre in Chesley, or the Satellite Office in Hanover. Departments include, but are not limited to: Accounting, Plant Services, Transportation, Purchasing, and Information Communication Technology (ICT). If you are successful to the OPT supply list, you can choose which locations are you willing to travel to.

Rate of pay: $21.64 - $28.41/hour (Sept. 1/25)

Qualifications And Experience

  • A community college diploma or equivalent certification or experience

Assets

  • Knowledge of office procedures and the use of office equipment
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A high aptitude for computer operations and skill in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g., word, excel, email)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with all files/issues
