What You’ll Do

The IT Coordinator will be responsible for deploying and maintaining hardware (like laptops), software, and providing technical support to Ateko team members. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about technology, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and can manage multiple tasks efficiently. The IT Coordinator will work closely with the Security and IT team to support the organization's IT needs and contribute to the overall success of our business.

As an IT Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist in deploying and maintaining hardware, software and other solutions for Ateko team members.
  • Offer prompt and effective troubleshooting and technical support to team members, addressing hardware and software issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Help maintain a knowledge base to facilitate quick problem resolution and enhance user self-help capabilities.
  • Help ensure comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Assist in monitoring system and network performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Execute routine maintenance activities, including updates, upgrades, and system optimizations.
  • Follow established security procedures for using IT resources, contributing to the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the IT function.

What You Bring

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

  • Availability to work part-time during regular business hours at our Halifax office as required.

    • The expected commitment for this part-time position is 16-20 hours per week.
    • We understand the importance of work-life balance and are open to discussing flexible scheduling options.
    • Candidates can choose to work 2 full days or 4 half days per week, with the understanding that a consistent schedule is maintained.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to convey technical information clearly and understandably.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve IT issues efficiently.

  • Experience with networking configuration and maintenance.

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing IT issues in a help desk technical capacity.

  • Experience using Jira (Service Desk) is an asset.

  • Experience configuring and deploying MacBooks and the G-Suite ecosystem is an asset.
