  • Engineering & Delivery
    • Oversee design, development, integration, and deployment of SailPoint Access Manager capabilities (identity lifecycle, provisioning, access requests, certification campaigns).
    • Drive automation and standardization of IAM processes to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
    • Ensure engineering deliverables are secure by design, with strong controls for data in transit and at rest.
    • Manage release cycles, incident escalations, and production stability for mission-critical IAM services.
  • Governance & Risk Management
    • Ensure adherence to RBC’s risk, compliance, and audit frameworks.
    • Partner with governance teams to provide evidence, metrics, and reporting for regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, OSFI, FRB/MRA).
    • Proactively identify and remediate technology risks, technical debt, and process gaps.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with application custodians, platform teams, and business owners to onboard applications into SailPoint Access Manager.
    • Work with security architecture and threat management teams to evaluate and implement emerging IAM technologies.
    • Provide transparent communication to executives, including program health, risks, and delivery outcomes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Deep expertise in SailPoint IdentityNow / IdentityIQ or equivalent IAM platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, provisioning, entitlements, role-based access control (RBAC), and certification campaigns.
  • Solid technical foundation in Java, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud-native architecture (AWS/Azure).
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams, driving large-scale IAM implementations, and managing operational stability.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), with at least 3 years in SailPoint engineering or architecture.
  • 5+ years in a technical leadership/management role, with experience managing engineering teams of 3-6 people.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-grade, high-availability IAM solutions in a regulated industry (financial services preferred).

Nice-to-have

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Certifications: SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer/Architect, CISSP, CISM, or AWS/Azure Cloud certifications.
  • Hands-on experience with Privileged Access Management (CyberArk), Entra ID/Azure AD, or Okta.
  • Exposure to microservices, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML use cases in IAM (e.g., anomaly detection, identity drift tracking).
  • Previous experience working in global-scale IAM programs within a top-tier financial institution.
