***This position is a 14-month contract for a Property Manager role in Calgary, Alberta***
About the role
As a Property Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in customer care by bringing outstanding interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a positive demeanor to your work. You will be involved in all aspects of managing your assigned portfolio, from operations and financial activities to managing meaningful relationships with our tenants, property owners and vendors. From managing service contracts and leading all aspects of tenant improvements to completing property inspections and making recommendations, you’ll have the opportunity to share your innovative ideas. This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise to help us lead our industry into the future!
- You develop and maintain positive relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors and contractors.
- You are responsible for annual budget preparation and tenant reconciliations.
- Able to work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines, effectively handle stressful situations, deal intuitively with situations, and work with minimal direction/supervision.
- You can effectively multitask while recognizing and addressing important, time-sensitive tasks and matters.
- You demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a passion for success.
- You have an excellent working relationship with owners and tenants.
- You have excellent communication, follow-through, and follow-up to meet commitments and deadlines.
What you bring
- 5+ years of progressive experience in property management (with commercial assets preferred)
- Experience in YARDI Voyager (integrated accounting).
- Sophisticated skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Experience with capital improvement projects.
- You communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
- You hold a CPM or RPA designation (strong asset)
- You hold a valid rental management license with RECA
- You hold a valid Alberta driver's license
