Your daily role:

  • Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems or practices for all performance indicators, targets and standards maintaining a database by collating, inputting, processing and retrieving data and information; establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
  • Preparing regular reports for management teams, tracking progress on KPI's and performance related issues
  • Assisting in identifying, evaluating and making specific recommendations for optimizing processing and packaging operations by utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards
  • Supporting facility projects from concept stage and feasibility studies, through to costing, purchasing, coordinating activities, communicating changes and progress, overseeing installation and start-up to evaluating project success; under the direction of the Project Engineer
  • Working incompliance with established HACCP, Safety and GMP protocols and reporting any concerns to your supervisor

Your profile:

  • Currently enrolled in a 2nd or 3rd year of a post secondary Mechanical or Industrial Engineering program and relevant job experience, preferably in the food products industry

  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects from initial request to implementation

  • Proficient with AutoCAD design and computerized programs

  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills

  • Adaptability-able to deal with frequent change requests, delays or unexpected events and develop alternative solutions

  • Valid drivers license
