Our head office and shop is located in the beautiful Fraser Valley, just an hour east of our Vancouver office, and close to the growing Abbotsford airport. Our US office is located in Seattle, WA and European office in Trento, Italy.
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is well organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work. In this position you will play a key role in helping to keep our payables running smoothly, maintaining strong relationships and working in a fast-paced environment. Our continued success as an organization depends upon the contributions by all of our amazing employees.
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Process accounts payable invoices and payments in various currencies
- Ensure proper allocation to project, purchase orders and electronic workflow approvals
- Ensure correct application of taxes, coding and receiving documents
- Verify invoice documentation is accurate and complete
- Respond to vendor email inquiries in a timely manner
- Analyze and reconcile vendor account statements
- Setup new vendors and complete credit applications
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a certificate or diploma in Business, Accounting, or other related field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounts payable experience
- Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, Word
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to successfully resolve issues and obstacles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Commitment to deadlines and schedules, including month end
- Excellent organization and time management skills to prioritize work
- Ability to handle change in a rapidly growing, dynamic company environment
- Ability to communicate with staff in other departments regarding project information
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with mutual respect, courtesy, and support
- Experience with ERP software in a paperless environment is an asset
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
Location: Abbotsford, BC – in Office
Schedule: Full-time Mon - Fri, 8 am - 5 pm
The pay range for this role is:
