Fiber Procurement Coordinator /Scales
About the role
Scope Of Position Reporting to the Director of Fiber Procurement, the Fiber Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of trucks for pulp wood, wood chips and biomass for the integrated Twin Rivers Pulp Mill situated in Edmundston New Brunswick. The incumbent will oversee the weigh scales, carrying out some of the wood measurement and sampling program, ensuring adherence to procedures and quality objectives while managing and overseeing the maintenance of the weigh scales, and data entry system. Monitor quality of raw material. Provide training for truck driver coming on site. Communicate safety expectation to truck driver. Monthly yard inventories and reporting. Will assist the fiber procurement group with various internal and external audits for forestry certification requirements (FSC, SFI and PEFC). The incumbent will also be required to work towards obtaining a valid wood scaler licence from the province of New Brunswick.
General Duties
- Verify if there is out of normal cycling time.
- Verify there is a scan load slip ticket for every load.
- Training for truck drivers on how to use scale systems.
- Create card for scaling.
- Make sure the proper contract is used, make required correction if required
- Communicate safety expectations to truck drivers.
- Give direction where to unload raw materials.
- Review scale and compare report to inventories.
- Visual inspection of raw materials and validate raw material delivery matches expected quantities.
- Provide support to suppliers.
- Monthly yard inventories and reporting.
- Conduct sampling and scaling of round wood and inspect quality.
Requirements

Bachelor or College Diploma in Forestry

Considered an asset:

New Brunswick Wood Scaler Licence

Knowledge of weighing software

Knowledge of forest certification (FSC, SFI and PEFC)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Experience in industrial setting
