The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General is seeking a well-rounded professional with proven leadership skills to join the Strategic Systems and Innovation branch. This position will be of interest to a pro-active individual with a background or interest in managing and mentoring resources, and excellent communication skills.

Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Portfolio Management, the successful incumbent will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of projects within the Integrated Justice portfolio, working closely with Ministry leaders, a variety of business areas, vendors and IT service providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of strong business partnerships and work with internal and external stakeholders to understand, support and execute the strategic direction of the Ministries.

This role will provide leadership and direction to a team of Project Specialists who are responsible for the business analysis and project management tasks associated with successful delivery of IT projects. As a team lead, you will assist with strategic planning, governance and procurement processes, and the development and implementation of the branch’s visions and goals.

To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in business analysis, project management and organizational change management. You will also be familiar with quality assurance and project financial principles. Your ability to develop and maintain cohesive and respectful working relationships with stakeholders of all levels is essential.

Typically, the knowledge and skills for this position are acquired through a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline along with several years’ experience working within the Information Technology/Information Management sector. CBAP, IIBA, PMP or other professional designations are considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
