Senior Account Manager, Experiential Marketing

Location: HYBRID ROLE – 2 Days In-Office (Toronto)
Job Description: The Senior Account Manager, reporting to the Senior Account Director, client services, plays a key leadership role in managing and growing client relationships while overseeing the successful execution of complex, client programs. This role owns senior-level day-to-day client relationships and leads program strategy, project management, and delivery across dynamic environments, including automotive and sports marketing initiatives. The Senior Account Manager acts as a trusted experiential lead within Integrated Agency Teams (IATs), collaborating closely with internal cross-functional partners and external agency stakeholders to ensure alignment, efficiency, and flawless execution. With a strong focus on operational excellence, financial stewardship, and team leadership, this role ensures all programs are delivered on time, on budget, and against clearly defined client objectives and KPIs.
Roles & Responsibilities: Include (but are not limited to) the following duties:
- Own and lead the execution of client programs from strategy through delivery Own and lead the execution of complex client programs from strategy through delivery, including multi-market automotive and sports marketing initiatives
- Serve as the senior day-to-day client contact, building trusted, long-term partnerships
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions, providing insights and recommendations
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure programs meet client expectations and KPIs
- Build and manage critical path schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all program components
- Lead, mentor, and develop Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and Field Managers
- Oversee asset production and inventory management across programs
- Proactively identify risks, challenges, and opportunities, providing solutions to ensure flawless execution
- Prepare and present program performance reports, including results tracking, analysis, and insight capture
- Manage program financials with 100% budget accuracy, including forecasting and reconciliation
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through expanded scopes or new services
- Participate in and contribute to strategic planning sessions and program innovation
- Ensure all programs comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Creative, Finance, Payroll, Recruiting, and Operations
Core Competencies: Hard Skills:
- Post-secondary education, preferably in Marketing, Events, or Communications
- 5+ years of experience in account management, preferably within experiential or integrated marketing
- Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships while delivering high-performing programs
- Strong experience in experiential marketing, production, and asset management
- Expertise in managing complex critical path schedules and large-scale budgets
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy, execution, and measurement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
