PFC Flexible Circuits Limited, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking a Solder Mask Operator who will be responsible for applying, imaging, developing and curing solder mask coatings on printed circuit boards (PCBs). This individual will coat solder mask (and other inks) onto production panels using either manual or semi-automatic printing equipment. Within the solder mask print processing area, the Operator will routinely run pieces of equipment such as developers, strippers, and ovens.

This individual will support afternoon shift operations (3:30pm to 12:00am). Training will take place on middle shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm) for approximately 1-2 months.

  • This position offers a $0.75 per hour shift differential for afternoon shift hours of operation (3:30pm - 12:00 am).***

Responsibilities

  • Manually screen print solder mask and legend layers onto panels using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
  • Set-up and operate solder mask coating and imaging equipment to process circuit board panels according to specifications.
  • Operate developing equipment to remove unexposed solder mask and ensure accurate material definition.
  • Load, unload, and operate curing ovens per process specifications.
  • Promptly complete screening tasks and document in a timely manner.
  • Inspect developed panels to ensure correct mask definition and quality.
  • Enter all completed jobs into the CIMNET system.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 5+ years of solder mask experience in printed circuit board manufacturing is required.
  • Ability to read and understand technical work instructions and standard operating procedures is required.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
  • Must be able to work with and properly handle solder mask chemical as per Company procedures.
  • Experience operating screen coaters, conveyorized developers, or UV exposure equipment is desired.
  • Flexible and capable of performing efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds, without assistance.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in the Business language (English) is required.
