How Will You Make An Impact
You will be responsible for preparing food and serving customers in accordance with applicable local standards, guidelines and regulations.
As a Cold Food Prep, You Will
Ensures all cold food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and mise en place for stations is completed as per requirements for day-to-day operations and special functions. Assists all production stations with food preparation. Ensures that all required products have been removed from the freezer and are thawed according to HSQA standards on a daily basis. Maintains all workstations within prep area to ensure they are clean and orderly. Ensures that all equipment is operable and in good condition. Observes portion control measures, and ensures accurate forecasting is completed for each service. Maintains proper food production records, temperature logs, waste logs and cleaning schedules as per current HSQA requirements. Replenishes supplies as needed. Assists other stations as needed to ensure successful completion of meal service. Must interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, and company inventory procedures. Maintains proper service appearance and etiquette at all times. Answers all guests’ inquiries and concerns immediately.
About You
Previous experience working in professional kitchen required. Training from a culinary school will be an asset. Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen. Able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils. A team player with effective communication skills. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, including regularly lifting/moving up to 10 pounds.
