What You Will Do - Evening Shift (3-11pm)

• Operating Pacmed machines for packaging medications
• Accurately fill a medication tray by verifying DIN, description, and quantity
• Accurately fill a canister by scanning each medication bottle and following the SOP
• Pick and return medications back to shelves
• Changing paper and ink ribbon for pacmed machines
• Complete daily machine cleaning maintenance
• Package a batch, including regular monitoring to ensure accuracy of end product
• Maintain clean and organized workstation to reduce error and maximize efficiency
• Scanning medications pouches using Pac-vision.
• Generate facilities medications packaging report using Kroll – Pharmacy software
• Filling out all necessary facility information on batch tracking sheets
• Ensure batch tracking sheet is verified by Registered Pharmacy Technician before packaging.
• Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging
• Recognize liability on the outcomes of service provided
• Ensure organization of workstation and inventory shelves
• Maintain appropriate supplies and materials
• Some involvement in prescription information management
• Reallocating medications back to designated medications vials or pacmed canisters.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment where high attention to detail and accuracy is essential
• Ability to work and maneuver quickly and consistently for extended periods of time

Preferred:

• Exposure to Hospital or Long-Term Care Pharmacy
• Experience working in a retail pharmacy environment
• Exposure to Pacmed, ATP or Automed Machines
• Good knowledge about medications
• Pharmacy Technician Diploma from accredited college, but not required

This role requires employees to be flexible to work a variety of shifts during the business’ hours of operations, which include occasional weekend shifts and statutory holidays. Employees may be assigned to work across different departments within the pharmacy, and duties may be adjusted at any time based on operational needs and within the employee’s professional scope of practice. Flexibility in responsibilities is required to support safe, efficient, and patient‑centered pharmacy services.
